This enormous cat and his equally enormous brother belong to my friend Pat. They got them a year or so ago from the Cats Protection League - they were semi feral farmcats - lean and hungry types who were supposed to live out in the barns and earn their living  by keeping down the mouse and rat population. The idea was that they would get a small meal once a day to encourage them to stick around and catch the rest of their food them selves.

Well it hasn't worked out quite like that - they do live out in the barns but get fed 3 times a day and have grown fat and lazy! They also bully Pat's 2 little dogs and I have to keep Hovis on the lead there as he is longing to chase them - I think they might eat him!
