I posted a photo last year I think , of the Cathedral and Bishops palace in the snow but when I was in St David's a couple of weeks ago I took some more photos on a lovely sunny spring day.
There has been a church on this site since St David founded one there in the 6th century AD but the present Cathedral was started in 1181 and the Bishop's Palace in 1328 - though that building, on the left of the Cathedal is a ruin now and preserved by CADW which is a government dept responsible for the upkeep and of preservation of historic ruins in Wales - they also look after the abbey in my previous photo.
I love the Cathedral - I'm not religious at all but it is very beautiful and peaceful there, inside and out. I lived in St David's for many years and both my daughters still live there, It's Britain's smallest city - because it has a Cathedral - and only has about 2000 inhabitants.
