As I have so many problems posting single photos on Buzznet recently, I thought I would try a blog and use some of the many photos I have taken over the last couple of weeks.
I always spend Christmas eve day in St Davids where my daughters and their families live. This photo is taken in daughter Ali's kitchen - she's on the left doing her nails , her husband Carwyn is fiddling with his phone and grandaughter Lottie is looking for some photos on her iPad to show me.
We went for a walk down to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace a it was such a nice day - for a change !
We also went to Newgale for a walk and there were a few surfers out - although it was sunny the sea temperature is only around 8 to 10 C at this time of year - and its rough !
The bay looked very pretty in the late afternoon sunshine.
Next morning Christmas day, Hovis had plenty of presents! He loves the "Bums" toy from JJ ! It had a loud squeak but he has practically killed the squeak and its a feeble moan now !
It was a day of sunshine and heavy showers on Christmas Day -we did go to the beach in the morning but there was no beach to walk on as the wind was driving waves up on the beach - I literally got blown off my feet at one point and I kept Hovis on his lead!
There was one crazy guy surfing - on his own which was a bit stupid in those conditions. I watched him until he came out incase he got into trouble - I wouldn't have gone in after him though - would have just called the Coastguard!
The wind died down to a mere gale in the early afternoon and we went for another walk on Plumstone moor - got caught in a hail storm - but it was followed by a beautiful rainbow !
On Boxing day I went to watch the local Hounds meet in our local county town of Haverfordwest
This is the river running through the centre of the town - it was a lovely sunny winter's day
Afterwards I took Hovis to the beach and he played with his frisbee
When we got home he had a long sleep!
The next day he was ready to go again though!
Then followed a few days when I took no photos as I was in hospital and because the weather was so bad on New Years Day I didn't go to watch the annual NY day charity swim at St Davids as I usually do . My granddaughter Lottie did it - pictured here with her cousin after coming out of the water ! It was pouring with rain and blowing a gale - they must be mad! Picture taken from FB.
Happy New year everyone!
