The last couple of days have been beautiful ! After a very wet and windy January and February things are finally improving and everywhere there are signs of spring.
Here are a few photos I have taken over the last few days while out walking with Hovis .
Walking up our lane yesterday - the hedge banks are covered with thousands of snowdrops.
Crocuses are enjoying the sunshine too
The daffodils are all in bloom now
There are some Dandelions flowering too
I walked up the lane as the sun was rising this morning just after 7am
Later we went to the beach -on the way there, I stopped to take this shot of Roch castle in the distance.
The light at the beach was very pretty - here is Hovis surrounded by blue sea and sky.
Driving home from town yesterday I saw this Red Kite overhead so stopped car and took this photo out of the window!
Today I saw my first butterfly of this year! A peacock was fluttering up the lane in front of me and settled in the hedge where I took this quick photo.
The farmcats are enjoying the sunshine too!
I have also seen bees and beeflies and took this photo of one on a daffodil , covered with pollen.
I also took a pic of this bug on a daffodil - not sure what it is!
I stopped to take some churchyard photos this afternoon - there are daffodils and snowdrops all around the graves
And finally Hovis enjoying the spring sunshine!
So thats just a few of the photos I have taken since the weeks of rain stopped and the sun finally came out!
