We have had a few sunny days- Friday Saturday and Sunday - unfortunately today its back to wind and rain again !
If the sun is out and I am busy at home, Hovis follows the sun round and sits on what ever chair is getting the sun
This particular day i was doing some baking before going for his beach walk. A friend gave me some duck eggs and she said they were good for use in cakes so I decided to make a sponge cake with some of them.
They are very different looking to hen's eggs - the shell is much thicker , the white of the egg is clear and the yolk very deep orange.
The cake was good -but bright yellow !
On our beach walk it was very quiet and Hovis almost had the beach to himself and had a great time playing ball and chasing seagulls.
Can you see him in the distance below the cliffs?
The gulls are nesting on the cliffs now and there seemed to be lots of fights going on for the best spots!
On Saturday afternoon we went for a walk in Brandy Brook woods - I could feel several pairs of eyes watching us!
Hovis posed in the spring flowers for me
This is the sign that we pass driving into our nearest village on the way home from woods.
This is another of the sunset photos I took on Saturday evening ., looking over towards our nearest neighbours house
On Sunday morning I decided to go to Sealyham woods and see if I could get some heron photos .
It has dried up a lot in there now and I no longer have to wade ankle deep in mud !
I managed to get quite close to this Heron who was standing on her nest.
I couldn't see into the nest from here so I climbed to a higher path and looked down on the nest and was pleased to see she has one egg in there!
Finally yesterday afternoon I walked down our lane and took some daffodil photos in the sun.
Today my camera has stayed in its case !
